Junior Golf

At the club, juniors come first. U.S. kids certified coach Steve Serling and the instructional team are proud to offer several junior camps,clinics and PGA junior league.

2019 Junior Golf and Tennis Camps

This program is offered to young players ages 7-15, with golf or tennis in the morning followed by a club provided lunch. After the midday lunch break, players will continue with golf or tennis in the afternoon. Camp size is limited to the first 40 players, with a waiting list as needed.

Our objective is to offer a fun and educational atmosphere that the players will enjoy through being exposed to all facets of both golf and tennis. Early in the week basics are covered with skills being learned for the first time or perfecting what they may already be familiar with. Throughout the week they will play skill games and challenges, ending the week for a score toward the final championship on Friday.

First Session:

  • July 15-19 Members only, or players directly related to members.
  • Monday-Thursday 10:00AM - 2:30PM, Friday 8:00AM - 12:30PM

Second Session:

  • July 29- August 2 Members and Non-Members
  • Monday-Thursday 10:00AM - 2:30PM, Friday 8:00AM - 12:30PM

PGA Jr. League

This program is open to boy and girl members and related family members from ages 9 (by June 15th) to under 15 (by August 1st) of all skill levels- no golf experience required. Kids will learn the game and enjoy relaxed competition in a two-person scramble format that encourages mentorship, builds confidence and teaches sportsmanship.

Practices and instruction start at the end of June culminating with a league championship and cookout at the end of July.

The entry fee of $225 per player includes a golf hat, two event shirts, JR PGA "T" shirt, bag tag, backpack and end of season players cookout.

Pam Sheerin's Summer Junior Camps. Ages 4, 5 & 6

Pam's love of the both the game of golf and Elementary Education makes her a great choice to introduce your little ones to the game. For over 40 years she has proven that her communication skills have enabled her to convey basic golfing concepts and help your child create a love of golf without the frustration that can develop when learning new skills. Her patience and good nature are legendary in the Abenaqui community.

This program is offered to both members and guests.

Cost - $80, paid prior to classes beginning (checks made out directly to Pam Sheerin). Abenaqui Members may charge.

Golf clubs can be provided as needed.

Maximum 4 in a class. Classes are one half hour long. (9:00-9:30, 9:30-10:00, 10:00-10:30) Monday through Friday.
