Abenaqui Country Club offers a private facility rich in tradition and unsurpassed elegance. Abenaqui is located on the beautiful New Hampshire Seacoast, surrounded by pristine woodlands, and cooled by subtle ocean breezes.

Established in 1903, our club is available to members and their guests for golf, tennis and social activities. Our facilities include a world-class 6,635–yard (par-72) golf course, four Har-tru tennis courts, and a magnificent clubhouse with simply elegant dining facilities. We are pleased to welcome members and their guests to an enjoyable and truly memorable club experience.

Our Clubhouse features an excellent restaurant, a fully stocked bar room, and large function rooms and outdoor veranda, available for member-sponsored social activities. You are invited to click onto the links above to obtain more information about our Club.

Membership Types All Memberships Include Full Family Tennis. Memberships For Individuals, Couples & Families Are Available

Senior Membership

For those over the age of 37. Includes unlimited golf, dining, social and family tennis.

Intermediate Membership

For those between the ages of 21 and 37. Reduced dues for this category.

Junior Membership

For ages 12-25 years old open to members and non-members.

Associate Golf Membership

For those members waiting for full golf membership. Includes dining, social events, family tennis and limited golf.

Legacy Membership

For children of active Abenaqui members who are under the age of 38. Discounted initiation fees offered.

Social Membership

For those interested in dining, events and tennis, with limited golfing privileges.

Abenaqui is the only member owned, private club on the New Hampshire Seacoast. This provides the members with lots of benefits. Our biggest asset is our great community feeling among our members and staff.

How to Become a Member

Proposed new members are sponsored by current club members. If you don't think you know a current member, please contact our Membership and Marketing Director, Lisa Lombardi, at 603.379.8326.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are New Members Sponsored?

Both the sponsor and proposed new member complete and submit a Proposal for New Member form along with a deposit.

An introductory meeting with the Membership Committee is scheduled, nominees and sponsors names are posted for 30 days and a meeting with the Board of Governors is arranged.

Upon Board approval, club membership is offered. The whole process can take 45 - 60 days depending on the schedules of those involved.

What does a new membership cost?

The financial obligation to join the club includes the purchase of a refundable membership certificate, a one-time non-refundable initiation fee for club social members and a non-refundable Golf initiation fee for golfing members (this can be financed over five years). Annually, all members, including new members, pay club dues according to their chosen category. Contact our Membership and Marketing Director, Lisa Lombardi at 603.379.8326 for current dues & fees.

Is there a minimum spending in the dining room required?

There is an annual minimum of $630 for one person and $1260 for two people over two cycles in a calendar year. This includes food and beverage in the Grill Room as well as all social club events.

If I'm a Social Member, do I have any golfing privileges?

Each social membership has the privilege of golfing twice a month with the payment of greens fees.

Is there a wait to become a member?

There is no wait to become an social member. Once the membership procedure is completed, membership is offered immediately. New members join at anytime throughout the year and our club is open year round. All memberships include family tennis. Please contact the membership office to see if there is a waitlist for golf memberships. If there is a golf waitlist, members may join as an Associate Golfer until a golf spot opens up.

Do I need to be a member of Abenaqui Country Club to have an event there?

No, although Abenaqui is a private club, the function rooms are available for non-member events. We can host a non-member event with a sponsor. Please inquire about sponsorship.
